On Sept 8, Jincheng in Shanxi province hosted the "Shanxi ? See the World" Tourism and Leisure City High-Quality Development Networking Event, bringing together foreign diplomats in China, international tourism organizations, representatives from world tourism cities, as well as experts, entrepreneurs, and travel professionals from around the world to discuss new developments in the global tourism and leisure industry.

The event aimed to establish an international dialogue platform, bringing together global cultural and tourism industry insights. It seeks to advance the structural reform of the cultural tourism industry on the supply side, and promote the integration of cultural heritage protection with innovative tourism development.

A Shanxi tourism guide tailored to international visitors was released during the event. The guide covers six categories: history and culture, climate, transportation, accommodation, cuisine, and attractions, providing a comprehensive understanding of Shanxi for international tourists.

The cities of Jincheng, Taiyuan, Datong, and Yuncheng highlighted their unique cultural and tourism features and development strategies, focusing on core resources, distinctive industries, and cooperation directions.

The Culture and Tourism Department of Shanxi Province, in collaboration with Trip.com Group, launched the Shanxi Tourism "Super Plan" to support innovative development in Shanxi's cultural tourism sector. This initiative includes a special development fund, paving a new path for cultural tourism development through a "government-enterprise cooperation + innovative integration" model.
