Shanxi province has been comprehensively advancing the conservation and utilization of the Great Wall since the implementation of the "Great Wall National Cultural Park (Shanxi Section) Construction and Protection Plan".

To further integrate culture and tourism development, Shanxi has created innovative models such as "Great Wall + History", "Great Wall + Ecology", and "Great Wall + Revolutionary History", driving the growth of new business formats such as camping, skiing, homestays, and cultural creativity along the route.

The construction of the Great Wall National Cultural Park has driven the improvement of the living environment in traditional villages along the route. Villages like Yanmenguan, Qianyaopu, and Houyaopu have been included in the 5A-grade scenic area of Yanmenguan Pass.

In addition, villages like Laoniuwan and Huashizhai have become popular tourist destinations. These villages have found success by developing homestays and unique handicraft workshops, promoting rural vitalization while preserving cultural heritage.

Shanxi will continue to accelerate work on key projects such as the Xinzhou Great Wall Museum, improve facilities along the Great Wall No 1 Tourist Highway, strengthen the integrated "Great Wall +" cultural tourism development model, and step up exploration and promotion of the Great Wall culture.
