The 2025 Financial Support for Green Technology Conference took place on May 12 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, focusing on the theme "Green Technology Innovation and Financial Support under the Dual Carbon Goals". Attendees discussed pathways for green technology development, industry opportunities and challenges, policy incentives, and green investment and financing.

The conference was co-hosted by Shanxi Financial Holding Group and the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS). Participants included representatives from provincial and municipal departments, State-owned enterprises, central State-owned enterprises based in Shanxi, domestic tech companies, financial institutions, industry associations, and think tanks.

Shanxi Financial Holding Group, in collaboration with IFS and the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance, launched the "Shanxi Financial Support for Green Technology Enterprises Database". The first batch of 17 key enterprises, including Shanxi Green Energy Storage Technology Co, was entered into the database.

Shanxi Financial Holding Group also signed agreements with the Shanxi Research Institute of Huairou Laboratory, the Shanxi Research Institute for Clean Energy of Tsinghua University, and IFS. The conference also saw the formation of an advisory committee comprising leading domestic experts to support the development of green technology, aiming to enhance policy analysis and provide intellectual support for Shanxi's green and low-carbon transition.

Wang Zhenyu, chairman of Shanxi Financial Holding Group, emphasized the group's focus on enterprise carbon account construction, carbon footprint tracking in key industries, green electricity and carbon asset management, climate investment and financing pilots, and government investment fund management. The goal is to create a community service platform that connects the supply and demand sides of green technology, thereby improving the local green technology financial ecosystem.
